A year in the making, Liminal is a collection of songs about the betwixt and between twilight zone of borders, boundary violations, dissociation, and transformation. Its got songs about the BMZ (Border Militarized Zone) of Southern AZ; the ghost-chasing paranormal tourism industry of old western mining towns like Bisbee, Arizona; turning into an owl; and the mysteries of Jehovah the Great Dissociator of the Old Testament. And: a sweet, sweet country love song.

The hand percussion, Keith's weird 12-string style and stranger lyrics, and Stuart's mandolin give Liminal some continuity with earlier offerings. But this album is a departure from Mystic Blues and Year of the Cup. Five seconds into Twilight Zone, fans of these earlier albums will quickly find themselves in uncharted territory. Wikiup is truly a one of a kind track with a dirty mouth spitting buck naked truth. Stay With Me is a joyful, ridiculously sweet treat with a generous coating of Heather Hardy's violin and Danielle Panther's harmonies, so sweet they might just give you a toothache. Caleb Hathaway's flute on Arcanum will send you soaring into the night air. Eventide's frame drum will ground you while Stuart's slide guitar sends you to on a rescue mission to the other side and back. The indictments, and the denouement of The Heretic's Song will give you something to ponder. There is a whole palette of vibes on offer in this collection. Every song is unique.

Liminal is the third creation of Keith Allen Dennis and his dear friend and producer, Stuart Oliver.
